Social and Cultural Activities, Literary, Artistic and Scientific Accomplishments and other Special Interests : 
A social activist right from the student days organized the youth for their socio-economic and educational advancement; associated closely in propagation of the core values of self-confidence, self-esteem, and vertical social mobility through hard work and quality education among the poor sections; coordinated with a number of NGOs working for unorganized labour, bonded labour, destitutes and disabled persons; organized relief and rahabilitaiton camps for the victims of natural calamities and assisted the District Administration; played a crucial role in bringing out peace and harmony among the various sections in case of land disputes, communal clashes and atrocities and worked for their wellbeing; conducted special motivation sessions for the beneficiaries of various poverty alleviation programmes taken up by the Government and the special drives taken up for land distribution, grant of house sites, construction of houses etc., during late 70s and early 80s before joining the Government Service
